The City of Norfolk seeks an Equipment Operator II to support the construction of the St. Paul’s Blue‑Greenway and to provide flood water management, water quality treatment, and recreational open space.

Work with Parks and Forestry Operations to maintain equipment and grounds in administrative and field settings. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and two years’ machinery operation experience.

Formación

• Knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
• Two years' experience in operation of machinery needed for grounds maintenance and horticulture.

Responsabilidades

• Operates heavy equipment including surf rake, backhoes, front end loaders, dump trucks, and maintains grounds and right of ways.
• Performs safety checks and minor preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
