Job summary

ICU Medical in Southington, CT is seeking an Equipment Operator II to safely run moderately complex automated assembly machines and maintain high quality medical devices.

You will perform start-ups, run changeovers, conduct basic preventive maintenance, document traceability and start-up checklists, and escalate issues to technicians as needed. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to use computers and basic software.
• Good judgment for troubleshooting and making product disposition decisions.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must follow both verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up operation from powered-down state and complete related paperwork.
• Conduct Level I preventive maintenance tasks.
• Participate in line changeovers and related documentation.
• Set up work orders in electronic batch records and data systems.
• Pull test samples and manage in-process QC.
• Maintain component hoppers/bowls and production output.
• Do basic troubleshooting and escalate to technicians when needed to restore operation.
• Update hourly production boards and record downtime/quality issues.
• Submit machine repair tags when issues require support.
• Ensure non-conforming products are handled per procedures.
• Maintain 5S in work areas and adhere to safety standards.
• Demonstrate company values and participate in EH&S initiatives.
