Job summary

The North Dakota Department of Transportation, Dickinson District, New England Section, New England, ND, is seeking an Equipment Operator II to support year-round maintenance and the New England Satellite Section. You will operate heavy equipment and perform highway maintenance duties from Dickinson, ND, with access to a DOT pickup and a focus on safety and efficiency.

A valid North Dakota Class A driver license with air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement is required by day one,

Qualifications

• Valid North Dakota Class A driver license without air brake restrictions and cargo tank endorsement (N) by first day of work.
• Two years of relevant experience or one year of experience and one season of winter operations similar to NDDOT.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway, roadway and structure maintenance tasks.
• Use heavy equipment and power tools to perform maintenance duties.
• Maintain paperwork such as time records, activity reports and road condition notes.
• Assist in installing and repairing highway signs and guardrails.
• Maintain safe roadways and respond to emergencies as required.
