Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent (required).
• Less than 1 year of experience operating light to medium construction equipment or equivalent training.
• Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with clean driving record, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance support for the Yard Waste Center and Wilders Grove Landfill.
• Operates and maintains equipment; performs inspections and completes reports.
• Assists in inventory monitoring and material needs.
• Safely operates heavy equipment (e.g., 45 ton articulated off-road dump trucks, loaders, water trucks).
• Directs customers and assists with unloading material.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and adheres to safety policies.
