Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, six months of related experience, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within six months. A Florida Driver’s License with endorsements is required.

Responsibilities

• Drives trucks, tractors and other vehicles to support maintenance and construction projects.
• Operates dump trucks, brush trucks, and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintains safety and monitors environment to protect workers and the public.
• Operates mowing equipment to maintain rights-of-way and County property.
• Inspects and prepares equipment for daily use and performs light maintenance.
