Qualifications

• Completion of the eighth grade or equivalent training/experience.
• Valid Florida Driver License required; Motor Vehicle Record reviewed prior to employment.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, background checks required.
• Semi-skilled work operating light/medium power construction equipment and motorized vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks up to 15,000 lbs GVW plus trailer (8,000 lbs GVW) and other light/medium equipment.
• Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist mechanics with minor repairs and servicing.
• Exhibit a strong customer-service mindset and align decisions with county values.
• Work emergency essential duties when disaster or emergency is declared.
