The City of St. Cloud is accepting applications for the position of Equipment Operator I. The Public Works department includes divisions such as streets, refuse/recycling, parking, traffic services, and equipment maintenance. This team is dedicated to maintaining high standards for St. Cloud's infrastructure and services, playing a vital role in the city's quality of life and growth.

The Equipment Operator I performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks, including heavy manual labor and equipment operation, to maintain, repair, and assist in constructing municipal streets, alleys, facilities, right-of-way areas, and other infrastructure. Responsibilities also include waste collection, recycling, yard waste management, and working at the compost site.

Examples of duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining, repairing, and constructing city infrastructure.
• Operating a variety of heavy and light duty equipment, attachments, and trailers for city operations.
• Performing manual labor related to waste collection and disposal, including loading materials into collection vehicles.
• Patching, crack repair, pothole filling, concrete work, overlays, and spray patching.
• Plowing snow, de-icing, hauling snow, shoveling, snow blowing, and applying de-icing and anti-icing products.

Qualifications:
