Position Overview:

As an Equipment Operator I, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently operating equipment involved in the installation and maintenance of Coach Rail vehicles in our Final Assembly department.

What your day may look like:

  • Operate and maintain a variety of production machinery in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Organize and utilize tools and equipment essential to efficient production workflows.
  • Plan and prepare work processes, including layout, component preparation, and inventory monitoring.
  • Process components or products in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform basic CNC or SPS programming tasks as needed to support production.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and assist with defined machine servicing operations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and external service providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Operate various types of mechanical production equipment and technologies as required.

What will make you successful in this role:

  • High school education, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, forklift operation, and/or similar machine equipment operation.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery and equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 plus 10% shift differential for second shift and 20% shift differential for third shift. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location
