Terracon is a national leader supporting solar renewable energy. As a top-ranking engineering and consulting firm, we are seeking quality individuals to assist with test pile installations on utility scale solar projects throughout the Eastern US.

As a part of our employee-owned staff, this position requires an independent equipment operator who is self-reliant, flexible, and enjoys leading an independent work environment.

Terracon runs late model equipment with a maintenance program tailored for our crews. The test piles are primarily installed with a Vermeer PD10. Anyone with experience running skid steers, excavators, or backhoes are encouraged to apply. Terracon embraces the ability to teach new skills and empower your career with on-the-job training.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ability to co-lead a two-person crew.
• Effective in written and verbal English communications. Must be able to coordinate, teach, and communicate effectively as a member of the field crew.
• Be able to competently drive a commercial truck and trailer.
• Communicate daily progress reports with multiple offices.
• Physically active role with unrestricted range of motion necessary to perform daily activities.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Ability to utilize cell phone apps such as GPS tracking, map reading, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
• Report required maintenance to supervisor and perform maintenance tasks as required.
• On the job training provided for qualified equipment operators without experience on PD-10 pile drivers.

Requirements:

• A Class "A" CDL is preferred. A record of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of equipment operator experience or the equivalent in training and related industry experience.
• Extensive travel schedule based out of Raleigh, NC.
