Job summary

Chief of Staff, LLC is seeking experienced Walkie Rider Operators to join our Indianapolis warehouse team. You will operate an electric pallet jack (Walkie Rider) to move, load, and unload materials and must pass a hands-on observation test.

Candidates with verified Walkie Rider experience and the ability to meet safety standards will excel. Prior certification is a plus, and you will be expected to communicate effectively with leads and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in a similar warehouse role.
• Experience operating Walkie Rider and/or pallet jack; active certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read production and delivery schedules and confer with supervisors on transfers and pallet arrangement.
• Perform general warehouse tasks: opening containers, filling orders, and taking inventory.
• Use imaging devices and document imaging software for data entry.
• Follow safety regulations and warehouse policies.
• Pack, label, and prepare materials for shipping.
• Move materials using conveyors or loading docks and transport within the facility.
• Safely operate Walkie Rider to move materials throughout the warehouse.

Job description

We are looking for experienced Walkie Rider Operators to join our warehouse team! This role is responsible for safely operating an electric pallet jack (Walkie Rider) to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. All workers must have previous Walkie Rider experience and will be required to pass a hands‑on observation test before starting. Workers without verifiable Walkie Rider experience or who fail the observation test will not be approved to start.

• Read production and delivery schedules, and confer with supervisors to determine sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of packages on pallets, and destinations of loaded pallets.
• Perform general warehouse activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
• Implement scanning or other automated data entry procedures, using imaging devices and document imaging software.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or a postage meter.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks.
• Move materials over short distances, such as around a construction site, factory, or warehouse.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Safely operate an electric pallet jack (Walkie Rider) to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload pallets from trucks, staging areas, and racking systems.
• Verify product and quantity accuracy during picking and staging.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with leads and supervisors.
• Apply shrink-wrap to pallets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED req.
• 1+ years’ experience required in a similar role in the warehouse environment.
• Required experience in operating Double walkie rider and/or pallet jack (Active certification is a plus)
• Ability to safely operate an electric pallet jack
