Job description

We’re looking for a dependable Equipment Operator to join our team in Fort Meade, FL. This is a full-time, day shift position with a regular schedule from Monday to Thursday, supporting field operations throughout the area. You’ll operate various types of equipment to install sod, seed, mulch, and erosion control products. Daily tasks also include maintenance checks, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to MSHA and FPP safety protocols. If you're hands-on, safety-conscious, and ready to work outdoors, this role could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, mowers (slope/ditch/batwing), loaders, line trimmers, and forklifts
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Apply seed, sod, fertilizer, hay mulch, and erosion control materials per job specs
• Track product use and complete accurate field documentation
• Follow strict safety standards, including all MSHA and FPP policies

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Ability to lift 51–70 lbs regularly and work in outdoor environments
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Florida Phosphate Card and MSHA certification
• Basic mechanical skills and equipment operation experience
