As a Heavy Equipment Operator, your expertise in handling a variety of heavy equipment will contribute to the successful completion of sitework, site preparations, and other civil engineering projects that build and enhance our communities. Primary Responsibilities:

1. Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and graders, utilizing GPS technology for accurate positioning.
2. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
3. Collaborate with project managers to understand site requirements and project specifications for efficient operation.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Assist in site preparation, grading, and earthmoving activities according to project timelines.
6. Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
7. Document daily operations, machinery usage, and project progress for record-keeping and reporting.

Position Requirements:

1. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in construction environments.
2. Familiarity with GPS technology (Topcon/Trimble) and its application in heavy equipment operations.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
4. Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
5. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude for effective teamwork.
