We utilize a wide variety of construction equipment. Our initial need is for Operators in the Aerial Telecom Construction space.

Role Purpose

The Equipment Operator assists the Foreman in completing projects safely, on time, and to customer specifications. You will support new projects within our Telecom Construction division and be part of establishing Team Fishel as a leader in the utility construction industry in Eastern Ohio as we expand.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles daily to deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, tools, and equipment.
• Work in the field with crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing various tasks.
• Operate utility construction equipment safely and efficiently, including backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 2 years of safe and productive experience preferred.
• Directional Drill Operators: 2-3+ years of experience preferred.
• Mini-Excavators: 6+ months of experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance.
• Meet all DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
• Effective communication skills with teammates.
• Willingness to work, follow directions, and travel as needed.
• Thorough knowledge of utility construction and installation.
• Bilingual skills and prior construction experience are a plus.
