Job Summary

To transport and process donated, purchased merchandise, salvage or recycle goods for preparation, sale, recycle or trash in order to meet preset production and sales goals. To handle day-to-day operations of processing, making bales, physically loading or unloading trucks, and operating compressor machines/compactors/shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, and dollies. To follow the core values of Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN).

Supervision

Received: The Equipment Operator receives supervision from the Leaders of Operations, Support Manager of Operations, and Senior Manager of Operations.

Exercised: The Equipment Operator does not supervise anyone.

Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Moving bales and salvage merchandise inside the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks, assisting in donations, and maintaining safety and asset protection policies.
  • Operation of equipment: Safely operate pallet jacks, compactors, balers, and forklifts as certified.
  • Maintenance: Inspect equipment, keep work area clean, and report issues.
  • Compliance: Follow all policies, safety regulations, and procedures.
The Baler/Tipper/Trash Station Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain baler/trash compactor, record production, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Unload and sort donations, move bales, and assist in warehouse projects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with pallet trucks is a plus.
  • High integrity, flexibility, and ability to provide proof of work eligibility.
Physical and Environmental Factors

Lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, work in dusty or animal-hair environments, and tolerate temperature variations.
