Job Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing. The employee will receive training to operate a Front-End Loader and Yard Trucks safely, using this equipment to mix raw materials, unload, and load products to meet production goals. The employee is also responsible for maintaining a clean work area and working safely in a production environment.

1st and 2nd Shift Available

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate yard and plant equipment to load materials and maintain raw material mixture at proper moisture content.
• Coordinate with operators to ensure efficient drying rates.
• Perform daily maintenance on loader before each shift.
• Wash plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas using high-pressure power washers as needed.
• Perform general cleaning in work areas.
• Keep the area clean; pile raw materials out of driving areas.
• Prioritize safety in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in loader operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Good oral and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Occasionally push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted in a production facility that may involve exposure to high heat and/or cold temperatures.
