Job description

In this role, you will engage in essential tasks that involve the operation of various equipment and vehicles, contributing to the upkeep of the park, trails, and facilities. The position involves collaboration with park maintenance supervisors, management, and the maintenance team to ensure effective maintenance, resource management, and recreational opportunities. Responsibilities include operating equipment with a gross vehicle weight of up to 32,000 pounds, which necessitates holding a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Additionally, the role encompasses the upkeep of tools and equipment, engaging in manual labor when not operating machinery, and, when designated, leading other staff members in their tasks. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2026.
  • Travel, overtime and shift work required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more;or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

Condition of Employment:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Airbrake Endorsement.

Other Requirements:
