WITRON Service Canada Corporation is hiring for an on-site warehouse technician in East Gwillimbury. You will operate and fault-correct automated material handling equipment in a fast production environment, troubleshoot material flow issues, and escalate basic mechanical, electrical, and computer system problems as needed.

Candidates with 1–2 years of warehouse experience, strong teamwork, and a practical learning attitude are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 meters after extensive training and with PPE including a fall protection safety harness.
• Must be able to work in temperatures from +5C to -28C with PPE provided including cold weather gear, facial gear, gloves and hand warmers.
• Must be able to work days, afternoons, nights and weekends.

• Report product and equipment issues in assigned areas.
• Clear machine faults in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work with team members to ensure equipment faults are rectified.
• Complete reports for damaged cases and other general order-picking machine issues.
• Learn and understand system widgets for reporting purposes.
• Return all products and cases outside of automation to designated areas.
• Regularly sweep floors and remove dust from and underneath equipment and panels.
• Monitor system performance and operational status.
• Provide feedback and updates on system performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Report product and equipment issues in assigned areas
• Clear machine faults in a timely and efficient manner
• Work together with team members to ensure equipment faults are rectified
• Complete reports for damaged cases, and other general order-picking machine issues
• Learn and understand system widgets for reporting purposes
• Return all products and cases outside of automation to designated areas
• Regularly sweep floors, and remove dust from and underneath equipment and panels
• Monitor system performance and operational status
• Manipulate and drive system equipment as per system order message
• Provide feedback and updates on system performance
• Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
• Other duties as assigned

Your role in our team:

Operation and fault correction of automated material handling equipment in a fast production environment

Troubleshoot and correct system material flow issues

Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalation as appropriate

1-2 years experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not required

Ability to work in a team environment

Practical attitude and ability to learn new skills

Salary range: $21-$26/hr
