Job summary

Capitol Valley Electric in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Certified Backhoe Operator for an immediate start. You will operate backhoes and related heavy equipment, following construction plans to dig trenches and prepare sites for diverse projects including multi-family, commercial, and solar installations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy machinery experience, a Class A license preferred, and solid skills in reading blueprints and site layouts, with a strong emphasis on safety and OSHA 30

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience operating heavy machinery.
• Class A License is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site layouts and operator manuals.
• Strong focus on safety regulations and OSHA 30.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Certification to operate backhoes and other heavy machinery.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, bobcat, etc.

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance of the equipment

What you\'ll do

• Operate backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, bobcat, etc.


• Follow construction plans and blueprints to dig trenches and holes for construction projects


• Following site grading and operations plans


• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance of the equipment

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience operating heavy machinery


• Class A License a plus


• Understand and interpret blueprints, site layouts, and operator manuals


• Keen eye for detail, and an excellent understanding of safety regulations.


• Valid certification to operate backhoes and other heavy machinery


• Valid Driver\'s License and clean driving record


• OSHA 30


• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment. Must have a strong sense of balance and no fear of heights. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
