Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced equipment operator for heavy civil construction projects in the Richmond, VA area. You will operate excavators and dozers, perform routine maintenance, and follow ground markings and signals to move materials on highways and bridge projects.

The role requires at least five years of related experience, safety certification, and the ability to pass a practical test. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work with trench boxes as needed on utility crews.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years related experience and/or training.
• Certified or approved by Safety Department or Competent person.
• Must pass practical test.
• Ability to safely climb in and out of equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment using both hands, arms, legs, and foot controls.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Required close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
