Energy Northwest is seeking an Equipment Operator to monitor and operate plant equipment outside the Control Room, ensuring safe, efficient nuclear power plant operation.
You will collaborate with plant service groups, perform fuel handling, inspections and core refueling, and participate in Emergency Team activities as needed.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Equipment Operator operates or monitors the operation of all plant equipment outside the central Control Room in such a manner as to ensure safe, efficient plant operation. The Equipment Operator works cooperatively with all plant service organizations for the effective performance of duties that interface with plant operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of nuclear power plant experience in operations or other technical field (i.e. engineering, maintenance, chemistry, health physics);
OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of nuclear power plant experience in operations or other technical field;
OR five years of nuclear navy experience which includes nuclear prototype school completion; OR a high school diploma, or GED, and six years of experience in a technical field.
This is a bargaining unit position and the hourly pay rate is:
$62.79
