Job summary

Focus Workforce Management, Inc. is hiring Equipment Operators for our Reno-area distribution center. You will safely operate forklifts and related PIT equipment to pick, move, and prep customer orders for shipment, in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

The role requires climbing to elevated heights up to 40 feet with PPE, using RF scanners and touchscreen interfaces, and maintaining accurate, real-time inventory. Overtime and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is a plus.
• Warehousing or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Forklift or heavy machinery experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate department-specific technology (RF scanners, touchscreens).
• Maintain good attendance and be able to work overtime as required.
• Read and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Equipment & PIT operation: safely operate forklifts and other PIT equipment to transport, stow, and replenish inventory.
• Elevated height operations: use cherry pickers at high-bay levels up to 25-40+ feet following safety standards.
• Inbound & outbound logistics: load/unload trailers, label products, box making, relocate items.

• Safety & workplace standards: keep a clean, organized area and perform pre-shift inspections.

Job description

Pay: $18.00 per hour (+$1.00 peak incentive!)

We're looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our warehouse team as Equipment Operators. As an Equipment Operator, you'll play an important role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, moved, and prepared for shipment within our clients distribution center. You'll safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and order pickers, while working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Equipment & PIT Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)-including forklifts, cherry pickers (order pickers), walkie stackers, double walkie riders, tuggers, and pallet jacks to transport, stow, and replenish inventory across storage and staging locations.
• Elevated Height Operations: Safely operate cherry pickers to pick and stow product at high-bay racking levels (elevated up to 25-40+ feet) while strictly adhering to OSHA safety standards and fall-protection procedures.
• Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Perform core warehouse duties including loading/unloading trailers, labeling product, box making, and relocating stowed items.
• Technology & Inventory Tracking: Utilize RF scanners, touchscreen interfaces, and warehouse technology to execute tasks and maintain real-time inventory tracking.
• Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols, pre-shift equipment inspections, and operational guidelines.

• Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens
• Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
• Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable and capable of working safely at heights of up to 40+ feet on elevated equipment while continuously wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a fall-protection body harness and lanyard.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously across large facility spaces throughout the shift.
• Comfortable lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching for objects up to 50 lbs. of varying shapes and sizes.
• Capability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or maneuver safely around machinery and multi-level racking systems.
• Coordinated movement skills required to operate material handling equipment safely in narrow aisles and elevated environments.
