Job description

Join to apply for the Equipment Operator role at Balcones Recycling.

The Equipment Operator operates equipment including frontend loaders with buckets, 12k forklifts or smaller with rotators, bobcats, and skid steers. Operators must follow all safety regulations and golden rules of Balcones Resources. Responsibilities include pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections, greasing, and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas.

Major Job Responsibilities/Duties

1. Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning loaders.
2. Complete inspection reports prior to using equipment.
3. Safely operate machinery under supervision; load trucks, pile scrap, load/unload barges and rail cars.
4. Conduct end-of-shift cleanup and equipment inspection.
5. Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
6. Maintain a commitment to safety in the work environment.
7. Sweep and shovel residual waste from processes.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Valid Driver's license.
3. Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Employees must be able to stand, reach, walk, handle, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly. Lifting requirements include up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
