Job summary

Amrize, based in Minnesota, is looking for an Equipment Operator to support critical projects across North America. You will operate dirt‑work equipment including dozer, excavator, track loader and backhoe, assist the crew on busy job sites, and help keep the plant and yard clean and organized in accordance with safety rules.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of heavy equipment experience, good manual dexterity and teamwork, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

Amrize, formerly known as Aggregate Industries, operates seven regional construction materials businesses in the United States. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand & gravel is enhanced by downstream operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. What You’ll Accomplish

• Knowledge of and ability to operate several pieces of dirt work equipment including, but not limited to Dozer, Track loader, Excavator, Skidsteer, Tractor, and Backhoe.
• Assists crew in daily operations on assigned job sites.
• Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the plant and yard area by using general housekeeping practices.
• Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties.
• Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation.
• Perform pre‑shift inspections on mobile equipment.
• Performs emergency and routine repairs and maintenance on plant equipment and structures at the site locations.
• May perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment.
• Grease and fuel mobile equipment.
• Follows all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• To act in a safe manner, aware and willing to act upon observing any unsafe practices.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment and conducts routine inspections on mobile equipment.
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
