Skilled Utility Position

This is a union position with the United Steelworkers Union Local 14581. Successful applicants will become members of the union if not already members.

Job Description

1. Operate and maintain rock quarry plant equipment, including shoveling, lubrication, clean-up, and repairs such as welding and cutting.
2. Operate heavy machinery safely, including skid steer, mini excavator, haul truck, and loader.

Requirements

• Ability to shovel and clean belts.
• Experience changing belt rollers and making plant repairs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform heavy lifting.
• Willingness to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
• Perform tasks assigned by management.

Preferences

• Ability to cut with torch and weld.
• Experience operating skid steer, loaders, and excavators is a plus.
• Experience in processing plant environments.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with belt splice and plant repair work.
