Job summary

Reworld in Florida (Okahumpka) is seeking an Equipment Operator to run industrial systems safely and efficiently in the disposal process.

You will conduct daily inspections, troubleshoot gear, perform lockout/tagout, and operate a range of mobile equipment including forklift and aerial lift, contributing to a clean, compliant facility environment.

Shift is rotating days, 3PM–11PM, with health benefits and a safety-focused culture that rewards hands-on workmanship and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred; GED Works program offered.
• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with rigging.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and log sheets.
• Troubleshoot equipment and file work orders.
• Follow weekly and monthly checklists and procedures.
• Perform lockout/tagout of equipment as needed for maintenance.
• Operate mobile equipment (aerial lift, sweeper, forklift, mini skid-steer).
• Maintain fuel, lubricant and oil levels and cleanliness of equipment.

About the role

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations of industrial systems and equipment associated with Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures
• Perform troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders
• Perform checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc
• Perform lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities
• Operate various other types of mobile equipment such as aerial lift, sweeper, forklift, and mini skid-steer
• Maintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area, including cleaning ash handling equipment.
• Operate, adjust, service, repair, inspect, clean and lubricate the P-Flow conveyor system and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
• Determine the tools, parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform assigned jobs

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED is preferred. Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program
• Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment, mechanical experience preferred
• Previous experience with rigging

Physical Demands of the Role

• Frequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated walkways, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
• Frequently lifts or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 100 pounds
• Position requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations
• Capable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as hearing protectors and respirators, as necessary

Pay Transparency

It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 22.79 - 30.34 USD per hour
