Job summary

Lubbock Country Club is seeking an Equipment Operator to support daily course maintenance. You will safely operate mowers and related equipment, perform routine inspections, and keep accurate logs of fluids and fuels.

This role requires punctuality, teamwork, and a respectful, safety‑minded approach to work. You will assist with trimming, debris removal, and general course upkeep, reporting issues to the Golf Course Superintendent and following directions from the supervisor.

  • Courteous and tactful at all times.
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to appear for work on time.
  • Ability to follow posted rules and directions from a supervisor.
  • Wear protective equipment when required.
  • Ability to interact well with co workers.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates equipment such as mowers and other golf course maintenance tools.
  • Maintains maintenance and fluid use logs (gas and oil) on equipment.
  • Cleans machinery after each use and inspects for issues.
  • Reports machinery/equipment problems to supervisor and applies minor adjustments as needed.
  • Loads and unloads materials; trims trees and removes cuttings.
  • Cleans gutters, drains and culverts; waters plants and cuts grass.
  • Rakes leaves and performs other duties assigned by supervisor or General Manager.

Essential Functions:
  • Safely operates equipment such as mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs
  • Maintains maintenance and fluid use logs (gas and oil) on equipment
  • Cleans machinery after each use
  • Inspects machinery after each use
  • Reports machinery/equipment problems to supervisor
  • Makes necessary minor adjustments to equipment
  • Loads and unloads materials
  • Trims trees and removes cuttings
  • Collects and empties litter cans
  • Cleans gutters, drains and culverts
  • Waters plants
  • Cuts grass, weeds and bushes
  • Rakes leaves
  • Perform all work related duties as assigned by supervisor or General Manager
