Job summary

Caglia Environmental in Fresno, CA is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, water trucks, forklifts and other equipment while prioritizing safety and efficiency in a busy outdoor environment.

POSITION:Equipment Operator
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
LOCATION: Fresno, CA
SALARY RANGE: $20.00 to $30.00/hour, DOE

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate various loaders, excavators, skid steers, water trucks, forklifts, and other equipment around the facility.
• Responsible for the safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors onsite while operating equipment.
• Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is safe and operational at all times.
• Perform formal pre and post inspections and complete accurate inspection reports in writing.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material.
• Communicate with spotters to ensure the safety of all customers, team-members, and drivers in the yard.
• Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Monitor outbound loads to ensure trucks are being loaded to the required weight and make sure trucks are being loaded in a timely manner.
• Assist in various clean-up projects with and/or without equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Two years of related experience operating equipment
• Highly self-motivated with ability to complete tasks
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when needed
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor setting with exposure to various weather conditions, dust, odors, noise,
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Bilingual; English/Spanish-Preferred but not required
