The Equipment Operator position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of municipal roadways, sidewalks, town-owned buildings, and town infrastructure. Working under the direction of the Highway Superintendent, the employee is required to perform manual labor as well as work with mechanical equipment to perform duties. The employee also participates in the department's snow and ice removal operations.
Qualifications: Must have a High School degree or equivalent, with three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in vehicle and equipment operation as used in the maintenance and repair of municipal roadways or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
