Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader and other assigned mobile equipment to move, stockpile, blend, and load materials.
• Perform pre- and post-operational inspections and assist with maintenance and repairs.
• Support production, maintenance, housekeeping, and material flow to ensure continuous asphalt production.
• Perform ground-person duties including material handling and cleaning around conveyors and equipment.
• Maintain safe work areas and participate in safety meetings and trainings.

JobSummary:

TheEquipmentOperatorisresponsibleforsafelyandefficientlysupportingasphaltplantoperationsthroughacombinationofloaderandothermobileequipmentoperationandground-personduties.Thispositionoperatesloadersandotherequipmenttomove,stockpile,andfeedaggregatematerialswhilealsoperforminghands-onplantdutiestosupportproduction,maintenance,housekeeping,andmaterialflow.TheEquipmentOperatorperformsroutineequipmentandplantinspections,assistswithmaintenanceandrepairs,andworkscollaborativelywithplantpersonneltomaintainsafe,continuous,andefficientasphaltproduction.

EssentialFunctions:

1. Safetyalwayswins.Createandmaintainazero-incidentworkenvironmentwhileperformingbothmobileequipmentoperationandground-persondutiesthroughouttheasphaltplant.Takepersonalresponsibilityforsafetybywearingrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE),conductinginspections,identifyingandaddressinghazards,andconsistentlyfollowingcompanypoliciesandapplicableOSHA,MSHA,andotherregulatorysafetyrequirements.
2. Determined.Safelyandefficientlyoperateafront-endloaderandotherassignedmobileequipmenttomove,stockpile,blend,andloadaggregatematerialsandmaintainanefficientflowofmaterialsthroughouttheplant.
3. Committedtoserve.Feedaggregatematerialsintoplantbins,hoppers,conveyors,andotherprocessingequipmenttosupportcontinuousasphaltproductionandpreventinterruptionsinmaterialsupply.
4. Resultsmatter.Performground-persondutiesthroughouttheasphaltplant,includingmonitoringmaterialflow,clearingmaterialbuildup,cleaningaroundconveyorsandproductionequipment,maintainingworkareas,andassistingwithotherhands-onplantoperationsasneeded.
5. Performpre-operationalandpost-operationalinspectionsofloadersandotherassignedequipmentanddocumentfindingstoensureequipmentreadinessandcompliancewithsafetystandards.
6. Ownershipandcaring.Inspectplantandmobileequipmentforpotentialissuesandidentify,report,andassistinresolvingequipmentmalfunctions,maintenanceneeds,materialblockages,andotheroperationalconcernstominimizedowntime.
7. Measurement.Monitorstockpiles,aggregatesupply,materialflow,andplantoperatingconditionsandadjustworkactivitiesasnecessarytomaintainproductqualityandproductionefficiency.
8. Obligated.Supportplanthousekeepingbymaintainingcleanandorganizedproductionareas,roadways,stockpiles,conveyors,equipmentareas,andotherworkspaces.Performshoveling,sweeping,andmaterialcleanupasnecessary.
9. Safety.Followestablishedtrafficpatterns,lockout/tagoutprocedures,plantprocedures,andsafeoperatingpracticeswhileworkingaroundmobileequipment,conveyors,hotmaterials,andotherasphaltplantoperations.
10. Humility.Assistmaintenancepersonnelwithplantandequipmentservicing,repairs,inspections,andscheduledshutdownactivitiesasneeded.
11. Resultsmatter.Completerequiredproduction,equipmentinspection,maintenance,andoperationalrecordsaccuratelyandtimely.
12. Protectfamilyandfriends.Participateinsafetymeetings,trainingprograms,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativesandcommunicatehazards,equipmentconcerns,andoperationalissuestoappropriateplantpersonnel.

Requirements,EducationandExperience:

1. HighschooldiplomaorGEDpreferred.
2. Onetothreeyearsofexperienceoperatingfront-endloadersorotherheavyequipmentinanasphaltplant,quarry,construction,orsimilarindustrialenvironmentpreferred.
3. Knowledgeofsafeequipmentoperation,aggregatehandling,materialflow,stockpilemanagement,andasphaltplantoperationspreferred.
4. Abilityandwillingnesstoperformacombinationofmobileequipmentoperationandhands-onground-persondutiestosupportplantproduction.
5. Abilitytoinspectequipment,identifyandcommunicatemechanicaloroperationalissues,andassistwithroutinemaintenance,troubleshooting,andplantcleanup.
6. Abilitytoread,understand,andfollowoperationalprocedures,equipmentmanuals,andapplicablesafetyandenvironmentalrequirements.
7. Strongattentiontosafety,quality,andproductivitywiththeabilitytoworkeffectivelybothindependentlyandaspartofateam.
8. Validdriver'slicenserequired.
