Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for our Boardman, Oregon facility. You will operate loaders, haul trucks, and excavators and perform routine preventive maintenance to keep production moving.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability. You will load, transport, and stockpile materials, follow site procedures, and communicate with the crew to coordinate daily operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate heavy equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and excavators safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Load, transport, and stockpile materials in accordance with production needs
• Follow site safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
