Job summary

EthosEnergy is seeking an Equipment Operator for our Louisiana Station cogeneration facility in Baton Rouge, LA. The role focuses on auxiliary operations on shift, with reporting to the Operations Supervisor.

You will inspect, start/stop equipment, and maintain logs to ensure safe, reliable plant performance. Requirements include an Associates degree in Process Technology or similar, 2–3 years of power plant operations experience, and LOTO/safety training.

Qualifications

• General plant knowledge required.
• LOTO experience required.
• Experience in industrial plant operations or monitoring.
• Familiarity with control system monitoring and safety procedures.
• Ability to exercise stop work authority when needed.
• Completed general industrial safety training.

Job description

We are recruiting for an Equipment Operator working at our Louisiana Station (LAS) cogeneration facility located in Baton Rouge, LA. The LAS site consists of two combustion turbines and generators with associated HRSGs, four conventional steam boiler and two steam turbines. This position will primarily be an auxiliary operator on shift. This position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Make inspection of watch on plant auxiliary equipment, train on plant systems, start up/shut down of plant equipment and LOTO
• Housekeeping, maintain safe and reliable plant operations utilizing technical specifications and operations procedures. Maintain shift turnover and operating logs.
• Communicate effectively with other plant staff and work with others as a team in troubleshooting and daily plant operations.

Required Skills / Knowledge

Experience

• 2-3 years working in Operations at a power plant or commiserate educational experience.

Education Requirements

• Associates degree- Process Technology or similar field of study

Physical Requirements

• Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to work in high heat and humidity environments. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to ascend and descend to and from heights in excess of 100 feet.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive motion activities.
