Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, Has immediate openings for an Equipment Operator (Dozer Operator) to support operations at our Middle River, MD location. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely operate a dozer/bulldozer to move, grade, and manage aggregate materials while maintaining proper stockpile conditions and site efficiency.
Operate bulldozers to move, level, and spread materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone
Maintain proper stockpile shapes and manage material flow for efficient production
Clear and prepare land for mining, hauling roads, and plant operations
Assist with stripping overburden to expose aggregate deposits
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fueling, greasing, checking fluids)
Follow site plans and grade specifications to ensure accurate material placement
Work closely with loaders, excavators, and plant operators to support production targets
Adhere to safety regulations and site procedures to prevent accidents and equipment damage
Build and maintain haul roads, ramps, and working surfaces for safe and efficient equipment movement
Control dust and assist with site environmental compliance (e.g., grading for drainage and erosion control)
Communicate with supervisors and team members via radio to coordinate operations and avoid hazards
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating bulldozers, preferably in a quarry or aggregate environment
Proven experience operating bulldozers in an aggregates, mining, or high‑construction environment
Ability to safely move, stockpile, and manage materials such as sand, gravel, and stone
Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and site preparation techniques
Knowledge of equipment maintenance, including daily inspections and basic servicing
Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow site rules and MSHA/OSHA regulations
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and coordinate with other equipment operators
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed
Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
