Job summary

Delaware Park Casino & Racing seeks an experienced equipment operator to safely run a front end loader, tractor, and forklift on our property in Delaware. You will follow OSHA regulations, maintain equipment, and perform duties with minimal supervision in varying weather conditions.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, while promoting teamwork and safety across the site.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without difficulty.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in extremes of weather.
• Must be flexible for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to safely operate: front end loader, tractor, and fork lift, in accordance with all applicable OSHA Regulations.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and service.
• Operate small dump truck.
• Work without direct supervision.
• Operate all equipment according to manufacturers’ printed material.
• Use sound judgment when using equipment around horses.
• Maintain constant surveillance of the grounds for safety concerns.
• Report all maintenance repairs immediately to supervisor.
• Responsible to read and understand all safety rules for each piece of equipment.
• Attends all safety and/ or OSHA training sessions as required.
• Assist with all duties associated with snow removal.
• Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
