Job summary

Universal DX, Inc. in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an Equipment Operations Manager to lead equipment readiness, scheduling, calibration, and qualification for lab and manufacturing assets.

You will manage personnel, ensure records accuracy, and coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, IT, and Facilities to support ongoing operations. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on maintenance oversight, and experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years supporting laboratory, manufacturing, biomedical, or other technically complex equipment.
• 3+ years direct personnel management experience.
• Experience in GMP/GLP/CLIA/ISO 13485 or FDA-regulated environment.
• Experience with equipment qualification, calibration, maintenance, repairs, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily equipment operations across laboratory and manufacturing areas.
• Manage equipment readiness and scheduling for studies, validation, manufacturing, and other priorities.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, calibration, repairs, vendor visits, and service agreements.
• Coordinate installation and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) with Quality, vendors, and teams.
• Directly manage, coach, and develop equipment personnel; assign workloads and priorities.
• Maintain complete equipment documentation including qualification and status records.
• Provide routine reporting on readiness, downtime, risks, and upcoming activities.
• Support equipment selection, onboarding, relocation, and upgrades.
