Inland Group of Companies is seeking an Equipment Operator for IDS PIT Airport in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and preservation of equipment used for Glycol Recovery Vehicles and related tasks.

The position is full-time seasonal with overnight shift availability and potential part-time weekend AM/PM shifts. Competitive wages, health/dental/life insurance, 401(k) with match, and on-the-job training are offered.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.
• Able to obtain an Airport Badge.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Complete classroom and on-the-job training.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Can perform basic math and keep records.

Pay rate: $19.00/hr. | We are hiring 1 Full-time Seasonal employee for our Overnight shift and a few Part-time Seasonal employees to work am and pm weekend shifts.

Position Overview:

_ The Equipment Operator _ will work as part of a team providing superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for the purpose of tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Follow established guidelines for equipment operation within close proximity to airfield personnel, aircraft and other airfield equipment without interfering with aircraft movement;
• Promptly collect spent ADF (SADF) avoiding the risk of fluid escape;
• Proper operation and maintenance of testing equipment;
• Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency;
• Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s and to ensure that all samples are compliant with all written company and Government rules and regulations;
• Learn to operate Glyvac Recovery Vehicles (GRV) and heavy-duty Vacuum Trucks correctly and safely both on and off the airfield

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old;
• Must be able to work Holiday’s, weekends, 2nd shift (Afternoons) and 3rd shift (Overnights) as required
• Able to successfully test for and receive an Airport Badge ;
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are both required for this position.
• Successful completion of all classroom and on-the-job training;
• Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English;
• Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, compute rates, ratio and percent;
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations;
• Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather;
• General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools is preferred;
• Driving record that meets Company insurance standards;
• Ability to maintain a positive, good-natured attitude;
• Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints;

Work Environment:

• Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, data entry and record keeping;
• Warehouse - physically strenuous,prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors,varying temperaturesand humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;
• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.

Physical Demands:

• The position involves sitting and standing for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms;
• May be necessary to work at heights up to 40+ feet;
• The ability to lift up-to 50-lbs.
