EQUIPMENT MONITOR/LABORER

Reports To: Mine Operations Manager

Position Summary: Aggregate Mineral Resource Group, LLC is seeking motivated Equipment Monitors/Laborers to support the day-to-day operations at our Desert Center facilities. This role involves monitoring heavy equipment and production machinery for efficiency and safety, performing hands-on labor such as cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs, and supporting operational tasks.

The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic mechanical skills. This entry-level position offers growth opportunities in industrial operations, mining, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Monitoring and Operation:
    • Oversee heavy equipment like loaders, conveyors, crushers, and trucks, ensuring performance and safety.
    • Inspect machinery for safety and functionality, reporting issues promptly.
    • Operate small machinery and tools as directed, such as hand tools, pressure washers, or forklifts (certified).
  2. Labor and Maintenance Support:
    • Assist with cleaning, material shoveling, and organizing tools.
    • Support maintenance tasks like changing filters and lubricating machinery.
    • Help with production tasks such as repositioning materials and keeping work areas clean.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow safety standards and wear PPE like helmets, glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
    • Adhere to OSHA, MSHA, and company safety regulations, reporting hazards.
    • Participate in safety meetings and discussions.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work with equipment operators and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
    • Report equipment issues and safety concerns clearly and promptly.
Requirements
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery.
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Preferred: Experience in labor or equipment monitoring, mining, or aggregates. High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications like forklift are a plus. MSHA Part 48 training is highly preferred.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders, and operate tools and equipment. Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in industrial environments with machinery, noise, dust, and temperature extremes.
  • Wear PPE including helmets, gloves, glasses, and boots.
  • Support rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule

Six positions: Four day shifts + two night shifts at RMS Ross Plant, and two day shifts + one night shift at Waldon 4Tech Plant, 12-hour shifts.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $22.00 - $30.00, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, paid time off, and life insurance.
