Position Overview

Minimum Qualifications

Equipment Mechanic I

• 2 years of experience in automotive, truck, or construction equipment diagnostics and repair.
• Substitutions: Associate's degree or technical certificates may substitute for experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Class "B" CDL required; obtain Class "N" endorsement within 90 days.

Equipment Mechanic II

• 4 years of relevant experience.
• Same substitutions and licensing requirements as Level I.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Skills and Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electronic troubleshooting, and safety standards. Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures for various engines.

Conditions of Employment

• Pre-employment physical and drug testing.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls within 60 minutes.
• Work during weekends, holidays, and adverse weather conditions.
• Travel within the state as needed.
