Job summary

Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. in York PA is seeking a Mechanic Helper to support the shop and field mechanics and help keep projects on schedule. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will assist with repairs, prep tools, and run for parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in construction, mechanic shop or both.
• Mechanically inclined with mechanical knowledge.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Make small repairs on various pieces of construction equipment and trucks.
• Assist Field Service Center as needed with equipment maintenance and tools inventory.
• Assist shop mechanic with repairs and parts runs as needed.
• Assist field mechanics with repairs in the field on construction sites.
• Assist the Lube Technician with preventative maintenance services on construction equipment in the shop and on project sites.
