United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited supervision in a highly skilled, safe environment.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems and travel to customer sites when required, while mentoring junior technicians and documenting work orders thoroughly.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean.
• Assist in training lower level technicians.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as needed.

As an Equipment Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. What you'll do:

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment

• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed

• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis

• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts

• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams

• Must own tools applicable to position

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
