The position is located Fort Collins, CO, working in the Facilities Management Department. This position does not have formal supervisory authority. This full-time, non-exempt position.
Services include engineering, design, renovations, and maintenance of building structures, electrical and mechanical systems, fire protection, HVAC/R, plumbing, keyless access, door operators, custodial services, waste and recycling, landscaping, and paving. Operations also manages district energy and utility systems, and provides campus support for facility use and access.
Position provides maintenance and repairs to Colorado State University vehicles and equipment. Work is primarily performed on tractors/mowers/carts with a GVWR under 8,000lbs, but can at times assistwithheavy equipment or snow removal equipment repairs when needed. This is a frontline, non-supervisory role regarding direct employee discipline. However, in a lead capacity,the mechanic may be tasked with assigning tasks, training apprentices, and checking the quality of workperformed by lower-tier staff. This position will not have any subordinates.
