Hourly rate and potential for overtime vary based on experience and location. Job openings exist across the U.S. and Canada.

Pay: $30-34/hr depending on experience and skill

The Ideal Background:

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; construction, mining, farm equipment like excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; military heavy equipment such as MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, focusing on heavy equipment
• Education in mechanics, electrical, and hydraulic systems

The Job:

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Utilize technical support resources (manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedures, and parts identification
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Follow all safety practices and procedures
• Advise supervisors of issues impacting customer relationships
• Provide accurate documentation
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or state-approved equivalency
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
• Physical ability to move objects up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling
• High dexterity
• Provide basic tools as per policy
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Commitment to safety
