Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Equipment Mechanic in Colorado to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on construction equipment, following manufacturer specifications. You’ll diagnose breakdowns, repair on site or by phone, and document work while coordinating with internal partners.

Base compensation for this role in US-CO is between $73,000 and $90,000, with potential bonuses. Requires High School/GED and related apprenticeship; travel is typically minimal.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Apprentice Program or Vocational training on equipment repair preferred.
• In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

• Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns on site or via the phone using effective communications skills with field operations.
• Responsible for the accurate documentation and data entry for completed maintenance and repairs.
• Responsible for timely communication to internal and external business partners through phone calls and responding to emails for maintenance related questions.
• Orders parts for equipment repair using the work order system by determining manufacturer requirements and specifications.

Role Summary

The Equipment Mechanic will provide routine and non-routine maintenance support to the day-to-day Blue Hat Equipment operations. This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment as per manufacturer’s specification. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner

• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance operations including: engine oil changes, hydraulic pump and cylinder functions, diesel engine operations, basic electrical functions

Education

• High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
• Apprentice Program or Vocational training on equipment repair (Preferred)
• In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered

Experience

• 2+ years mechanic or maintenance operations (Preferred)
• Must be able to lift at least to 50 pounds
• Typically travel is not required
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
• Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
• Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen

Base compensation for theEquipment Mechanic role in US-CO is between $73,000 and $90,000, depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive a target bonus based on both individual and company performance.
