Job summary

Garmin International is seeking a full-time Material Handler - Equipment (1st Shift) at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will operate material handling equipment to move, locate, and count material with accuracy while maintaining a safe work environment.

Essential duties include inventory accuracy, FIFO/LIFO adherence, cycle counts, and utilizing RF scanning to transact material. The role requires lifting up to 55 pounds and flexible hours including overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Dexterity and eye coordination required.
• Experience operating equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds with safe lifting techniques.
• Ability to operate equipment rated for operators 300 pounds or less.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist for up to 10 hours.
• Overtime availability.
• Able to walk long distances.

Responsibilities

• Examine, sort, count, store, pick and pack items per procedures/customer requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory, transactions and material movement.
• Follow all safety, HRD-003 Attendance policy and procedures.
• Pull/audit material for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirements.
• Use KiSoft or Oracle to record transactions and locate inventory.
• Meet FIFO/LIFO policies and maintain 5S standards.
• Cross-train to learn all material handler functions.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe work environment.
• Communicate status of work to supervisor.
