HENRY FORD JACKSON HOSPITAL


The 420-bed Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is Magnet designated and a Level II Trauma Center. Acute care services are complemented by more than 40 community-based ambulatory locations. The hospital's broad range of specialty services includes cardiac surgery and minimally invasive structural heart procedures, neurosurgery and advanced cancer care, as well as home health care and hospice services, and the Henry Ford Hospice Home, the only hospice residence in Jackson County.



GENERAL SUMMARY:


This Equipment, Material and Instrument Tech is to provide technical advice, preventive maintenance, repairs operator in-services, and service line specific supplies equipment surgical resources in collaboration with all members of the health care team to assist in the set-up and maintenance, stocking and ordering of anesthesia drugs and supplies and provide assistance during select anesthesia procedures as directed by the MDA and CRNA staff.








EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High School Graduate or equivalent is required

  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively physicians, leadership, OR staff, and customers

  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in writing about the procurement, use, service and disposal of medical equipment

  • Must be physically capable of standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds



CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • None



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous Operating Room or anesthesia related experience is highly preferred

  • Anesthesia Tech certification is preferred

  • Computer experience and comfort with technology is highly preferred
