Job summary

Clean Combustion & Energy is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager / Field Technician to support emissions testing and boiler tuning projects at power plants across the United States. This role ensures instrumentation is calibrated, maintained, and ready for field deployment, collaborating with Project Engineers and field personnel.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as an Equipment Manager or Field Technician.
  • Experience with emissions testing, combustion systems, industrial instrumentation, or related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of flue gas analyzers and emissions monitoring equipment is a plus.
  • Pittsburgh-area residency preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Subject to random drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Perform emissions testing and boiler tuning at power plants
  • Maintain, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot flue gas analyzers
  • Prepare and organize equipment for upcoming field projects
  • Collaborate closely with Project Engineers and field personnel to support projects
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning accurately, safely, and efficiently
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the United States as required

Job description

Clean Combustion & Energy is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager / Field Technician to support emissions testing and boiler tuning projects at power plants throughout the United States. This position is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, operating, and troubleshooting emissions monitoring and flue gas analysis equipment while ensuring all instrumentation is prepared and ready for field deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics and instrumentation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment. This role requires close collaboration with Project Engineers and other team members to support upcoming projects and equipment needs.

Candidates must be willing to travel extensively and work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Five (5) years of experience as an Equipment Manager, Field Technician, or a closely related role preferred
  • Experience with emissions testing, combustion systems, industrial instrumentation, or related equipment preferred
  • Strong understanding of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of flue gas analyzers and emissions monitoring equipment is a plus
  • Pittsburgh-area residency preferred Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot, dirty, and industrial environments
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Subject to random drug testing throughout employment
