Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) San Diego is seeking an Equipment Asset Manager to oversee field service gear—from laptops to calibration tools—and to maintain accurate inventory records. This role ensures timely calibration, maintenance coordination, and seamless deployment of equipment to field technicians and customer projects.

You will partner with Field Service leaders to forecast needs, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and uphold BD's stringent quality and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in equipment management, inventory control, logistics, field service support, or related operational role.
  • Experience managing asset tracking systems and inventory records.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Procure and manage field service equipment, including laptops, tools, calibrated test equipment, network hardware, equipment cases, and other operational assets.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and inventory within equipment management systems.
  • Track calibration requirements and coordinate calibration, preventative maintenance, and recertification activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with manufacturers and service providers.
  • Partner with Field Service leaders to forecast short-term and long-term equipment needs based on service demand and project forecasts.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment availability to support field operations and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, deployment, and return of equipment for field technicians and customer projects.
  • Conduct inventory audits and monitor equipment utilization.
  • Develop and maintain processes that improve equipment readiness, asset visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and asset management requirements.

This role serves as the primary point of accountability for ensuring field service personnel have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time.

Qualifications

Salary Range Information $115,500.00 - $184,800.00 USD Annual
