Job summary

onsemi is seeking highly skilled technicians for its 300 mm fab in East Fishkill, NY. Roles are 12-hour shift positions within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in four quarterly installments.

Responsibilities include monitoring diffusion furnace equipment, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, data review, and adherence to HSE requirements. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 6–8 years of related experience, with strong English proficiency.

• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
• Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including cleanroom environment and Onsemi protocol/requirements.
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift
• Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning, and skills development
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements

Day Shift 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM

Sign-On Bonus

Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign-on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Travel - 0% to 10%
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
• Physical Capacity Demands - Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements.
• Able to wear all required cleanroom & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues.
• Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $23.51 to $41.06 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
