Job summary

Feralloy Corporation, a leading steel processor, is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep equipment running and support production goals. You will perform preventative maintenance, rig machinery, and install/repair electrical systems in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on maintenance experience, welding skills, and the ability to read blueprints or measurements. Overtime is required to meet customer demand, with opportunities for growth and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment correctly.
• Welding and hydraulic repair experience are preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and imperial measurement standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Rig machinery for installation & removal.
• Installs & repairs electrical apparatus such as transformers & wiring.
• Maintains pipe / hydraulic and pneumatic lines, and repairs gauges, valves and related equipment.
• Work during production outages on time-sensitive tasks.

From our Chicago headquarters, we operate a network of 11 steel processing centers throughout the U.S. and Mexico that provide value-added processing of hot rolled, pickled, cold rolled and coated sheet products to manufacturers and producers.

As a maintenance tech you will play a key role in keeping our end users satisfied with a demanding product. You will play an important part in achieving production goals by utilizing your skills to maintenance Feralloy’s equipment. Feralloy appreciated you and your hard work and together we will change the industry. Overtime will be required to keep up with customer demands.

Ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining equipment correctly and looking for knowledge. Steel experience is a positive.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour (Based on Experience and Onsite Interview)
