Job summary

Biomerics is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive upkeep of production equipment, machinery, and campus facilities. You will work under close supervision, learn company policies, safety protocols, and develop mechanical skills in a collaborative team setting.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to operate with others to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, withstand repetitive motions, and perform physical tasks with stamina.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on production machines, laser machinery, and building facilities after proper training.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and maintain maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Perform light carpentry, plumbing, and general repair work as needed.
• Assemble, test, and adjust equipment as instructed.
• Follow and comply with specific safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
• Learn to read and interpret basic diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
• Identify and organize parts and maintain an inventory of tools and supplies.
• Report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to supervision.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely and correctly.
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Support grounds maintenance and other assigned duties as directed by supervisor.
