EAG Laboratories is looking for a technician who will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of EAG’s lab equipment located at the Sunnyvale, California lab.

This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: a U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Employee Responsibilities:

• Perform and log routine/preventive and emergency service on equipment according to maintenance plan/schedule, including but not limited to process water chillers, battery back-up systems, vacuum pumps, ovens, coaters, and purge boxes.
• Install utility connections for equipment listed herein, including processed chilled water, deionized water, compressed air, pressurized gases, vacuum lines, and customized needs as required.
• Maintain and organize adequate stock levels of spare parts.
• Provide timely updates to management in the form of status reports and service reports.
• Assist and support facility/infrastructure when needed to maintain a suitable working environment for instruments.
• Employees are expected to comply with ISO 27001 standard and company requirements for Information security.

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (Flexible working hours can be accommodated as needed)

Desired Skills:

• Experience with water chillers, compressors, high voltage, and gas/fluid delivery systems is desirable.
• Demonstrate skills in proper use of tools of trade, able to operate independently and as part of a team, provide and follow written and verbal instructions, effectively utilize multiple forms of communication (e-mail, phone, etc.), and maintain a professional and cordial manner towards co-workers, vendors, and customers throughout the daily execution of duties.

Base salary range: $35/per hour-$39/per hour (Salary is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise.)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
• Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
• Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead.
• Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
• Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
